Summer Program

A child’s desire to learn is a future with great promise!”. Pamela Alexander
Guppies 1 & 11 Class

Guppies 1 is designed for children pre-school, K1 & K2. Through play and repetition we have kept the young minds of our campers interested in learning. Writing and intro to reading are vital parts of their daily regime. The Guppies 2 class inspires children in the 1st and 2nd grade to use their imagination through art, music and storytelling. Both groups focus on social issues, and treating others the way they want to be treated. We strive to teach a daily Bible lesson while teaching the alphabet, math and writing. Our creative approach has helped children to be strong readers and students.

Polliwogs Class
Our 3rd and 4th graders explore social issues and develop their skills of problem solving through conflict resolution. Demonstrating and learning effective communication skills are a daily task through listening/processing issues. Each class is designed to provoke critical thinking and application of Bible precepts. Great emphasis is  also placed on math, reading and writing. We take pride in keeping our children's skills sharp throughout the summer. We encourage parents to set goals for the summer and we make every effort to incorporate these goals into the daily program.

Tadpoles Class

Our 5th-7th graders, many of whom  were once in the earlier classes have grown in many areas. They are eager to demonstrate all that is expected of them now as upper classmen. Class time is spent helping to build strong leadership skills through conflict resolution, Bible study and team building exercises. School summer reading and goals are met in this class. Each student is responsible for obtaining their summer reading list and utilizing reading hour to fulfill this goal. Our classes also focus on etiquette and  respect for self and others. Overall, each class is expected to accomplish and make targets set forth by the teacher.

Art, music and physical education are an important part of developing a well balanced child
